iOS GAMES: Super Ninja & GOGO Fishing

We have started developing iOS games recently besides working on console games. "Super Ninja" came out last December, "GOGO Fishing" was just out last week. Both with Moxy Games, the publisher. You can play them for free for certain parts, so please check them out. We will update them periodically.

PHINEAS & FERB Wii/PS3!

Disney announced it today finally!

Yes, we've been developing the Wii and PS3 of Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension quite some time. We are very fortunate to work on such a great IP and we've been having a lot of fun developing them.

"Disney Interactive Studios today announced that Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension is currently in development for the Wii, Nintendo DS and PlayStation 3. Fans can play as their favourite characters including Phineas, Ferb and Agent P as they journey through new dimensions filled with platforming, in a quest to battle the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz. SECRET AGENT CLANK!

Did you hear that? The faint sounds of jazz piano and whispered conversation coming through the wall? It sounds like a story of high espionage and wicked spy gadgets... Does it? No way! It's Secret Agent Clank! Yes, that’s right. Clank has his own adventure! When Ratchet is sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit, it's up to Clank to prove his innocence. Armed with his unique Clank-Fu style and arsenal of super-spy weapons and gadgetry, Clank is more than ready to rescue his Lombax buddy, save the universe, and look good doing it! Look for Secret Agent Clank in stores June, 17th 2008! (Can I stop using my movie guy voice now? Please?...thanks, Carl.)

IN RELATED NEWS...

Ratchet and Clank - Size Matters has finally been unleashed on PS2! The PS2 version of Size Matters, already on store shelves, boasts all the action and adventure you’d expect from the Ratchet and Clank franchise, but ups the ante with a retooling of the multiplayer mode and the addition of the new Iron Lombax challenges. Check out our Games section for more! More news at 11. Or 10, maybe. Uh, hmm, 10:30? I guess it depends on what news program you watch. Check your local listings.

HIG UPDATES

We know it's been a while since we've last had an update. Why, you ask? Well…we've been (obviously!) hard at work, but also because… we were moving! Though our beloved offices in North Hollywood had much to recommend them (near to Universal Studios, close to ridiculously good Indian food, the extra cachet of saying we worked out of “Hollywood”), our new digs are even better! Our new Treehouse, located in beautiful downtown Burbank, is close to roughly five billion excellent restaurants and movie theaters. There’s ample room for everyone, and a few wide-open spaces for tabletop games and moonwalk competitions. Most important of all, we’ve got our own massive parking lot now. No more coins in the meters for us!

LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST...

...our new peeps! May we present the newest members to the Treehouse. They are: Shane Kneip, Sunghoon Kim, Jess Sterzl, Jared Bishop, Leviticus Davis, Travis Sanchez, Jhairo Erazo, Ellen Lin, Gerard Green, Eduardo Otero Jr., Melanie Walchek, Gilbert Wong, Haroon Piracha, Nathan Robertson, Christopher Matsumoto, and Jody McAdams. Quite a list, eh? Belated welcome to you all!

ALEX MYERS - HARDCORE WINNER!

Some people are good games players. Sure, they'll play a game and finish it. But some will play through a game without losing a single life because they're super-ultra-great. For these people, we created the Hardcore Winners page.

RATCHET AND CLANK - SIZE MATTERS UNLEASHED!

So, where have we been again? We can't use the leaky roof as an excuse this time, because the ants (bless their souls) fixed it. No elephants. No Avery/harpoon carnage.

Last news, we announced what we were doing; now we're announcing that we've done it! Made it, debugged it and shipped it. Whoo hoo! And here it is, or rather here is the box. Not the real box, but a photo of a box. Um, not a real photo, pixels arranged to resemble a photo of the box. You know what we mean. Here is it:

THE TOWERS OF BOBBY, #1

Late at night, when the lights are out, the great mystery towers are built. Tall towers constructed out of video cassettes. Towers that look like they're going to topple due to their unlikely fulcrums. Can you imagine them? Of course you can't. And neither can we. Our tiny human minds can't begin to picture such magnificent structures, so here's a photo of one of them.

Incredible? Yes, yes! Look, it's taller than that man. Who is that man? And why does he show up to have his photo taken with these towers? Are the two connected in some way? I thought you guys were in a treehouse; that looks like a... And what about the ants?

OH LOOK, IT'S US

Despite strict California laws regarding hire practices, we hire only good looking employees. After all, if we must look at each other all day, we may as well make it as pleasant for everybody as we can.

Here we are:

Who is who? And does it really matter? No. Because we're a team, and game dev teams are one big living organism. An organism of fun. If you feel you must learn about us, there's always the newly updated team page.

DAN JOHNSON

Dan Johnson, Lead Character Modeler, passed away over the Thanksgiving holiday. As well as being a truly gifted artist, he was first and foremost a great friend to many of us here. He is sadly missed.

RATCHET AND CLANK - SIZE MATTERS

Where have we been? Did the roof finally collapse and the California rain wash us from the treehouse? Did Avery run amok with his harpoon? Or did Jon pull a giant mastodon out of his sleeve and then laugh maniacally at the following messy carnage? No, no and no. Fact is, we've actually been busy making a game! Strange, eh? The treehouse has been abuzz with activity as we've been working hard on the new Ratchet & Clank adventure for the Sony PSP! We're all very excited about the project, so if you want to read more about it (and we KNOW you do!), follow this link:

NEWER HIRES

Thwap!! Two more new people. Jon Mayfield, who has magically read our minds and is magically trying to fix our magical leaky roof for the, um, winter. We've also got the ferocious Alex Hampton, who is determined to shake us, and everything else, out of the branches and onto the ground, where he can then paw us into submission. He's a bear, and we are the honey. Oh my.

ANT NIGHTMARE PT III

The ants. "What happened to those pesky ants?" you ask. Well, there have been some developments. The ants are now our busy little servants. They are sent on coffee runs. They bring us our lunch. They trim the leaves around the door. They do everything we can't be bothered to do. It's fantastic, and we love it.

"But what do the poor ants get from this?" you cry. Well, they got their own little airport, that's what. It's built right into the walls of the treehouse. They have ant runways, ant terminals and even ample parking for their little ant cars. We think they got the better end of the deal, even though it takes approximately 800 ants to carry a single latte.

'80s PUZZLE CUBE TRADGEDY

Whoah! Now, here is some sad news. Jason's cube is no more. It was found in pieces on the floor on Monday morning. Roberto was close by with tears in his eyes. Roberto told us that he had been there all night, trying to fit the poor little plastic fad back together again. "The cube - he jumped," he kept repeating over and over. "He jumped, and I didn't push."

ANT NIGHTMARE PT II: NEGOTIATIONS

Despite our best efforts, we failed miserably at eradicating the ants, so we have decided to negotiate with them instead. We can't get rid of them, so we might as well live with them or, better yet, hire them. They appear to have union backing and some pretty heavy demands, but we are hoping to come to some kind of agreement within the coming weeks.

NEW HIRES

Thunk!! Jason Skiles and TJ Bordelon arrived with a dull plop and have already been busy fixing things up. The ever-leaky roof, the loose plank and the rope ladder are already repaired, so they're eager to get busy with other tasks. Let's just tiptoe off and leave them to it, shall we?

NEW HIRE, JUSTIN!

JUST-IN is JUSTIN. (Arf! Arf!) He's our new lead animator, which means he's good at moving things around, so we made him start by moving a couple of desks and a grandfather clock that needed hoisting up into the branches. With that done, he's been put to work on the ant problem and should have all their points of entry blocked by the end of the week. Welcome to High Impact, Justin!

ANT NIGHTMARE!

The treehouse has been overrun by ANTS. We only just got the roof fixed. Now it's summer, and the ants are taking over. Luckily, the traps have been layed and primed, so let's see what happens in the coming week...
